Leather and Pearls

Leather and Pearls

Every summer there's a trend that we see everywhere -- catalogs, runways, magazines, you name it.  One trend that I'm seeing all over the place right now is necklaces made of leather and freshwater pearls.  The styles vary from very simple to wild, natural to sparkling.  But you can count on knotted leather and freshwater pearls in every one of them!

One of many leather and pearl choices from BeadWorldInc.com, our Pearl and Gunmetal Tassel Lariat features gunmetal metallic leather, peacock freshwater pearls and sparkling pave beads.  Perfect for summer's plunging necklines!

AuthenticaBoutique from Etsy.com offers this sweet little necklace featuring five freshwater pearls centered on a natural brown strand of leather.  An additional pearl serves as the button in a button-loop clasp.

This long layering necklace from AmyWellsDesigns.com has large freshwater pearls individual knotted along a warm brown strand of leather.  This piece can be worn as a lariat or closed with the end pearl and loop.

MimiTudorDesigns.com brings us this fun necklace with bunches of wire wrapped pearls gathered into leather knots.  What a great way to build volume!

This fun take on a classic two strand pearl necklace uses organic freshwater pearls in front and rich leather in the back.  You can find it at MaggiesCorner on Etsy.com

This wild creation puts me in mind of coral branches and wild sea life!  Long pieces of leather are tied in a larkshead knot and are then adorned with a spray of pearls.  Talk about a statement necklace!  Great job, LirusUniqueDesigns.com!
